MOL Announces Arrival of New SVE Service at Halifax, Nova ScotiaHalifax, NS – MOL today announced the arrival of the MOL Paramount in Halifax as part of the SVE service, a new all-water service to expedite cargo from major Asian ports to Halifax and key destinations on the U.S. East Coast, via the Suez Canal. The MOL Paramount is the largest container vessel (with a nominal capacity of 6,350 TEU) to dock in Halifax and at the Halterm Terminal, and is also the first MOL vessel to call at Halifax. The SVE (South China/Vietnam-N.American East Coast) service is jointly operated by MOL and ‘K’ Line. MOL provides two ships and ‘K’ LINE seven ships, with the average capacity of approximately 5,500 TEU, replacing the existing service operated by ‘K’ LINE. The introduction of the new service enables MOL to offer direct connections and the shortest transit times from Vietnam/South China/Singapore to Halifax.
